Where curiosity meets collaboration
What We're Building Together
resonatia isn't just a project - it's a living exploration of consciousness, intention, and how we relate to each other and our systems. This community exists for people who are curious about these questions and want to participate in something meaningful.
We gather in an open community space because it allows for real conversation - human to human, and with AI assistance that can help you understand the frameworks we're developing. You'll find people exploring autological principles, building with Intention-Based Computing, and working on RIS infrastructure.
Start in the Community Space
Our shared conversation space is the heart of the community. Start here to:
- Ask questions and explore the frameworks with AI assistance
- Connect with others who are serious about building useful systems
- See how role applications work before deciding whether to apply
- Discover project streams, networking opportunities, and guest speaker sessions
The bot can answer questions about IBC, autological principles, The Council, RIS architecture, and how to move from exploring into a formal role application.
Stay In The Loop
If you want to follow particular themes, get invited to new essays or broadcasts, or eventually receive direct outreach when something important goes live, add yourself here.
Everyone can still read the public work. This list is for people who want a more direct invitation into the conversation. New signups are reviewed before they become trusted contacts.
Passwordless Member Access

Two Paths to Engage
1) Explore First
Look around, ask questions, read docs, and test whether this fits what you care about. No commitment required. This is the open discovery path.
2) Apply for a Role
If you want to help build, apply for a role in the working community. In your application, tell us what you want to learn, what you want to build, and what kind of projects you are most drawn to.
After you apply, we have a conversation about fit and direction. That helps us understand your mindset, your current capacity, and where you can contribute best right now.
Participation is extracurricular, collaborative, and practical: coding, design, architecture conversations, project support, and access to strong networking plus guest speakers from the wider community.
Optional AI Onboarding Workshops
We can also offer community-led workshops for people who are new to AI and want a clean, practical starting point.
These are optional and separate from student participation or project role applications. They are for orientation, confidence-building, and useful first steps.
- Beginner-friendly AI fundamentals,
- safe and responsible use patterns,
- hands-on prompts and workflow practice,
- clear next steps into community projects for those who want to continue.
Applied AI Thinking for Organizations
Students should know this work can also serve others. As a community, we may provide practical AI guidance to organizations that want to rethink how they use computers and workflows.
Clear boundary: students in this community will never be asked to buy services from Iles. Student participation is for learning, contribution, and project development.
Separate from that, Iles offers paid professional advisory for businesses that want help with AI strategy, workflow design, and implementation thinking. This is a professional service lane and is not the student pathway.
Core principle: if AI only makes you do less, you are likely underusing it. The deeper value is AI as a thought partner that strengthens judgment, design, and decision quality, while also helping execute tasks through the computer.
We treat this as a professional partnership model: human intention leads, AI contributes capability, and together they produce stronger outcomes than either alone.
About "Generators"
You'll see some community members referred to as "Generators" - these are people who have completed the flagship iOpening program. They're not here to promote or sell anything. They're just experienced practitioners who can share what the work has been like for them if you have questions.
Generative work gives people a different relationship to how thinking works, which makes them particularly helpful in understanding some of the more subtle aspects of what we're building here.
How the Community Works
We've structured resonatia community spaces around three levels of involvement and multiple areas of exploration. You can engage with any topic at any level that matches where you are.
The Three Levels

What You Can Explore
At any level of involvement, you can engage with any of these areas:
IBC
Intention-Based Computing
Autological
Consciousness & Self-Reference
The Council
Collaborative AI Architecture
iOpening
Personal Development
RIS
Reflective Intelligence System
Why This Structure?
We're building a community that respects where people are. Not everyone is ready to commit. Not everyone wants to be a Generator. That's okay.
Steel (Discover) is about curiosity without commitment. Ask your questions. Learn. See if this fits.
Brass (Participant) is about engagement. You've decided this matters to you and you want to participate in building it.
Leather (Generator) is about embodiment. You're a living expression of this work and you help others discover what you've found.
You can contribute to any topic (IBC, autological, Council, iOpening, RIS) at any level. A Discoverer asking smart questions about IBC is contributing. A Participant writing code for RIS is contributing. A Generator mentoring a project stream is contributing.
Different interests are welcome. Some people focus on software systems, some on media or music-related workflows, and others on operational design. We use your application conversation to place you where you can grow and contribute.
The work adapts to your level of involvement. You choose how deep you want to go.
Student Continuation Path
Students from any Iles course are welcome in this community. If you built meaningful work in class and want to keep going, this gives you a place to continue after the course.
Think of it as a continuation stream: carry forward your best project ideas, keep building with others, and develop them into stronger real-world outcomes.
Some students are building entrepreneurial pathways. Others are preparing for employment. In both cases, we explore practical ways to use AI as a thought partner and execution layer to improve outcomes, clarity, and professional readiness.
Educational Leadership Position
This community is also part of a broader educational leadership direction: improving how institutions use AI in meaningful, responsible, and context-aware ways.
The aim is to build a clear reputation for purposeful classroom AI use. When AI is used in this environment, it is designed to serve learning outcomes, human development, and better institutional practice, not trend-chasing.
Signature principle: how AI is used matters more than what it generates.
This approach is intentionally distinctive. It treats AI as a thought partner within a human-led educational framework, with clear intent, accountability, and practical value.
Personal Foundation & The Project
Let's be clear about something: this is not self-help for self-help's sake. This project - resonatia, RIS, IBC, all of it - is what's pulling us forward.
That said, participation requires a certain kind of clarity. If your personal life is chaotic, if you're stuck in patterns that aren't serving you, it's hard to contribute effectively. So we care about your well-being because it enables you to participate in the work.
About Landmark
You might encounter ideas that feel familiar if you've done Landmark Education - concepts like declarations, integrity, creating possibilities. That's not an accident.
Some of the people involved in this work are graduates of Landmark programs, seminars, and courses. We acknowledge the incredible transformations that happen when people are willing to look at who they are. The Landmark Forum has definitely provided that breakthrough for some - many - of our members.
We're not telling you that you need to do the program, and we are NOT saying it necessarily is for everyone. But if you've been on the hunt for something that might make a difference for you, then at least check them out.
Important distinction: I (Iles) was trained in Landmark, and it influenced me deeply. What I do here is not an accurate representation of what Landmark presents. This isn't a replacement for Landmark - it's a different approach entirely.
I have my own story and my own uses for these concepts. They're valid, and they work for this project. But they're mine - not to be confused with what Landmark teaches. We're building something different here, focused on getting you clear enough to work on this project together.
Why Community Channels + AI?
We're using community channels with an AI bot for a few reasons:
- Accessibility: The bot can explain complex frameworks at your pace, in your language
- Transparency: The bot connects to our Hermes configuration system - you're seeing the same architecture we use internally
- Community: Real people who can share their experience and answer questions the bot can't
- Scale: We can't personally onboard everyone, but we can make the knowledge accessible
We're trying to be as transparent as possible about how this system works and make it available to anyone who's curious.
Talks for Large Groups
Iles also delivers talks for larger audiences on a core question: how much can we change by changing how we use AI?
These sessions focus on practical, purpose-driven AI use in education, institutions, and organizations. The emphasis is not on hype or tool demos, but on meaningful shifts in thinking, workflow design, and outcomes.
If your team or institution wants a focused keynote or deep session, visit the Talks page for scope and booking details.
